Tenbury Wells RBL County Gala. 3/8/14
Worcester Branch WFRA were kindly invited to take thier display to the Tenbury Wells Royal British
Legion County Gala, on Sunday the 3rd of August.
A good day was had by branch members, with the public being very interested in the items on display,
such as the photos and information about the Battle of Gheluvelt and the service in Gheluvelt Park on the
31st October 2014. Regimental Museum items for sale was anorther attraction for the public
Cyril`s display of kit and uniforms was a big hit with children who got to try on some of the uniforms and
helmet, some ex service people reminisced with Cyril and the 'blanco' days.
There was stalls promoting other Organisations and raising fund for the RBL . There was the Tenbury RBL
Chior with a Worcester Branch member singing along.
The day was finished off with a Drum-Head Service at the Graden of Remembrance, where there were
crosses witth posters and capbadges of the local men who fell in WW1.
